A cool wind blew through Phoenix this week… Finally, that cheery, end-of-the-year feeling is starting to take root. I think my best childhood memories existed during the holidays, which is likely the reason I have so many inexplicably good feelings this time of year. I guess I feed off those cozy, manufactured, family-oriented vibes.

My trip spanned 3 long, long, long weeks - the first in Indiana, and the last two in Florida. I’d been meaning to make an Indiana trip with my family for years, as it’s the birthplace of many of my dad’s relatives. |
It’s almost like I can’t shut my eyes until there’s sunlight inching past my (tightly closed) blinds. I enjoy having the quiet nighttime hours to myself - private time for me and my first love, the computer.
